PLAY UP POMPEY! March 9th, 2008 Here I am, some 15 hours away from my birthday, and this weekend has been something of a sporting and gaming pinnacle so far. Starting yesterday with Portsmouth’s win at Old Trafford in the FA Cup. Then down to watch Pagham’s reserves follow up a 10-0 trouncing of Worthing United seconds with a 2-1 win against Rustington Reserves. Meanwhile England’s rugby side were walloped 15-9 by Scotland (I’m an eighth Scots, so reserve the right to support them on Calcutt

SO2 NO and mercury are serious pollutants and due cause acid rain and other problems. We have technologies to reduce them(scrubbers etc.). The phony enviornamentalism of "self sacrifice" is the problem. It is in our rational self interest to use cleaning technologies on coal power plants. A global carbon tax is not in our self interest.

Rain is a type of precipitation, a product of the condensation of atmospheric water vapor that is deposited on the Earth's surface. It forms when separate drops of water fall to the Earth from clouds. Not all rain reaches the surface; some evaporates while falling through dry air. When none of it reaches the ground, it is called virga, a phenomenon often seen in hot, dry desert regions.
